The ASL Awareness Alliance champions deaf culture, promotes sign language education, and bridges the gap between hearing and Deaf communities — one hand at a time.
ASL Awareness Alliance is a student-led nonprofit organization dedicated to making American Sign Language (ASL) education more accessible while promoting awareness and appreciation of Deaf culture. We believe that communication has the power to bring people together, and even learning a few signs can help create a more inclusive community.
Through free educational resources, community outreach, and fundraising efforts, we hope to inspire more people to learn ASL and advocate for accessibility. Every dollar we raise is donated directly to the North Carolina School for the Deaf in Morganton, helping support Deaf students and the programs that empower them.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn ASL, regardless of their age, background, or experience.
We strive to create connections between hearing and Deaf communities through education, understanding, and mutual respect.
We are committed to raising awareness about Deaf culture, accessibility, and the importance of inclusive communication.
