We're a passionate team of advocates, educators, and community members working to make the world more accessible — one sign at a time.
The ASL Awareness Alliance was founded with a simple but powerful belief: communication is a human right. Over 70 million Deaf and hard-of-hearing people worldwide navigate a world that wasn't designed with them in mind. We're here to change that.
From free workshops in local schools to partnering with businesses on accessibility, everything we do is rooted in respect for Deaf culture and a commitment to bridging the gap between hearing and Deaf communities.
Get Involved →We believe ASL education should be free, accessible, and joyful for everyone — regardless of age or background.
All of our programs are developed in partnership with the Deaf community — not for them, but with them.
ASL isn't just a language — it's a rich, vibrant culture. We celebrate and uplift Deaf identity in everything we do.
These values guide every workshop we host, every partnership we build, and every resource we create.
We design every program to be welcoming to people of all backgrounds, abilities, and levels of ASL experience.
We honor Deaf culture, history, and language — approaching our work as allies, not saviors.
Our resources are always free. We believe cost should never be a barrier to communication.
We build lasting relationships — between hearing and Deaf individuals, families, schools, and businesses.
We give people tools to communicate confidently, creating a more connected and empathetic world.
Learning a new language should be fun! We bring warmth, humor, and celebration to everything we do.
People of all ages who will learn ASL through our free online lessons and resources.
Schools, businesses, and nonprofits collaboration with a least 5 with to expand accessibility.
Community workshops, panels, and Deaf culture celebrations to be held across our region.
Every tool, lesson, and workshop we offer costs nothing to the communities we serve.
Whether you want to learn, volunteer, donate, or simply spread the word — there's a place for you in our community.
